A new construction affordable housing development with underground parking is built along a major boulevard in Boston’s Hyde Park neighborhood. The modular design is a modern interpretation of the simple housing typology of the block. The existing context of “box-like” buildings consist of three-story structures with simple cornices, trim, clapboard and stacking windows. These vernacular elements are re-interpreted with an elevated design interest.
