An existing 3-story house utilizing only 33% of its entire property has been re-designed to maximize its lot potential for (4) new residential units. A through lot between West 7th Street and Tudor Street in South Boston, this renovation and new constuction re-uses the existing entrance to maintain the traditional "porch" entry seen along the streetfront and adds two additional stories with a consistant overall hieght to align with the adjacent housing. A modern chamfered corner carries the A-frame language into the new development and uses traditional clapboard siding to mimic the material character of the street. All units have private outdoor spaces including roof decks with views to the South Boston waterfront.
