Touloukian Touloukian Inc. has designed three related projects for the City offices at 26 Court Street-- interior demolition of five existing floors (complete), in-progress construction documents for PFD and DND's interior offices and community spaces (95% complete), and an existing conditions assessment and schematic design for envelope improvements and plaza redevelopment (complete). This project includes the relocation of two active departments with significant user group/program coordination requirements, and staff outreach distributed over numerous floors. Renovation includes the technical coordination of MEP system improvements, asbestos abatement, demolition, code compliance, exterior envelope improvements, and energy analysis. The design ground floor and plaza seeks to rethink the underutilized entry, better serve the buildings' public function, improve accessibility, and celebrate its historic architecture.
