An addition and interior remodel of a residential condo in Boston’s historic North End. Enclosing an underutilized outdoor space created an additional bedroom for the residential condominium. The historical context lead to a reinterpretation of Boston’s traditional bay window to allow for expansive views and natural ventilation. Angling the new addition is also a physical response to preserve views to the neighboring cast-iron building; as well as exterior view corridors.
