Located in the heart of Harvard Square, this renovation project aims to revilatze the iconic Out of Town news kiosk into a space fit for a modern, community-oriented function. The two-phased project included a renovation of the exterior structure, as well as a full re-design of the interior space. TTInc's strategic interior casework design allowed for an adaptable space that met the client's goal of creating a multi-functional space. A retractable desk, concealed furniture storage, and elegant hanging systems allow for a flexible space that can host a variety of community events while simultaneously respecting the historical nature of the building. The building will also serve as the new location for the City of Cambridge's Office of Tourism, making it a go-to landmark for all newcomers.
